Stephen Colbert doubles down on denigrating concerned Muslim parent

Late night insomnia cure, Stephen Colbert, was called out this week for saying he doubted a story told by Michigan gubernatorial Tudor Dixon.

It turned out Colbert was simply wearing his ideological bubble a bit too tight. He couldn’t fathom that a Muslim father, Khalil Othman, might be angry enough over pornographic material being available to his children that he would hold the Democratic Party accountable.

When Othman was asked by Fox News host, Will Cain, how he would respond to Stephen Colbert’s claim that his story was made up, he replied:

Shame on him, to be honest, because the fact that he will deny that existence of concerned parents just for political gain, that’s absolutely irresponsible and not acceptable.

Colbert was also criticized by the Tudor Dixon campaign and the candidate herself, as well as news outlets who confirmed the veracity of Dixon’s claim.

Realizing his mistake, Colbert issued an apology – or his version of an apology.

Faced with admitting he’d disparaged a Muslim father’s very real concerns for his children, Stephen Colbert decided to further denigrate the man.

I’m a parent and I believe that every parent has the right to be aware of what their kids see and read, just like everyone learning about this story has the right to know that as recently as October, last month, this guy claimed to be a Democratic politician but switched after he lost his primary and packed up his toys and went off in a huff to support an election-denying, transphobic, COVID-19 conspiracy theorist.

What a wonderful example for all of our children.

That’s what Colbert’s really angry about. Khalil Othman had the sheer audacity to leave Stephen’s political tribe.

Clearly. Colbert gave up on comedy ages ago, but he is a loyal Democrat puppet. What do Democrats do when the facts are against them? They ignore the issue (concerns about children have access to adult material) and attack the messenger.

Late night comedy is nearly extinct these days, but we do see the highlights, like this ignorance from Colbert, on social media.

Accurate.

We think they’re about to get a major wakeup call.

Hate is really what has made Stephen Colbert unfunny.

That’s right, parents. If you don’t want your tax dollars to be used to expose your children to pornographic material, Stephen Colbert and Democrats will call you a bigot.

There was a time when you could turn the TV on after a long day to relax and enjoy a little bit of humor.

The liberal joy thieves have even stolen that from us.
