LOL: The Root asks if black people should be afraid of DeSantis announcing his campaign on Twitter

We’ve already told you about the ridiculous coverage by The Atlantic and Vanity Fair on the imminent DeSantis campaign announcement on Twitter. Not one to be left out on a race-baiting fearmongering campaign, The Root chimed in with their own spin on the same spin: Be afraid, black folks. Be very afraid.

The piece claims that Ron DeSantis, who is guilty of ‘racist attacks’ and ‘white supremacist rhetoric’, is poised to announce his presidential bid with ‘fellow bigot Elon Musk’.

The Left has completely lost it, folks. It’s like legacy media outlets intercepted a bus enroute to the nuthouse and hired them all on the spot.

What conclusion does Candace McDuffie, writing for The Root, reach at the end?

‘What does this all mean for Black and brown people and LGBT community? The answer? Can’t be good. The GOP is unabashedly the party of white supremacy and hate. DeSantis, like his Republican peers, has no problem expressing his hatred of Black people. The governor has done everything in his power to erase Black history, rescind voting rights and even praised Jordan Neely’s killer. DeSantis in the Oval office is downright dangerous for Black folks. With DeSantis and Trump as frontrunners for the Republican nomination, things keep going from bad to worse.’

Yowza. We’d also be scared of the people they’ve created in their heads.

A lot of black people pushed back on the claim that they should be afraid and tried to cut through the emotionalism.

We don’t think you’re going to get a good answer.

We loved the ‘ … on Twitter’ in the headline, like that was the part that really made it scary.

Yep, it’s like that.

LOL! Nice try, parody account.

Bingo.

Right?!

Thankfully, Twitter provides a way for sane voices to weigh in.

We’re sorry, ma’am, Joe Biden is going to have to revoke your black card. LOL.

Bwahaha!

Seriously, black Americans have overcome slavery, the KKK, Jim Crow, and Vanilla Ice. They’re hardly going to be intimidated by a dude from Florida running for president.

Ouch! That’s getting too real. Cover your ears, Democrats. You can’t handle this truth.

Great gif usage. Some of us can’t use this one without committing ‘digital blackface’.

LOLOLOL!

Looks like people don’t like being manipulated. We hope you folks at The Root get the message.

Did The Root warn black folks that Biden was going make everything more expensive?

The family budget is a lot more meaningful to real people than fake bogeymen.

Preach!

LOL … Jeff …

‘After sundown’. LOL.

Hey, what do you mean by ‘you people’?!

Just kidding.

Dang! That is perfect.

Maybe blackface Joy Behar could land a gig at The Root.

We’re pretty sure The Root mostly writes for white liberal women at this point.

‘Hyper-Progressives’. We like it. It’s sort of like ‘ultra-MAGA’ but true.

Now that’s funny!

You folks over there at The Root need to do better. People aren’t buying it.
