Dear AP, Snarky memes and trendy videos are NOT actually reliable indicators of violent extremism

Someone tell the AP hacks that “snarky memes and trendy videos” from people they disagree with aren’t the driving forces behind political unrest and violent extremism.

Take discomfort in knowing media has it all figured out, however inaccurately.

They have cracked the code, as soon as the political adversaries are identified and eliminated, world peace can begin!

Some Twitter users are treating the AP article with beguiling snark and mockery.

Perhaps the snark of some is so good that it is difficult to discern between joking and genuine concern

They have to be joking, right? Nothing about an article that takes aim at one side of the partisan madness without mention of the other is genuinely believable.

One way to rile people up is to tell them white nationalists are plotting their demise in secret code online.

You might even say such an effort could lead to violent extremism.
