The fastest way to get a "living wage NOW" Democrat to not offer a shred of criticism of a business owner is if that person employs illegal aliens and pays them low wages.
This story is another example of that.

That brings us to this CBS News story that is ironic on multiple levels. This one comes with a beverage warning.
Benny Melendez, the owner of a small construction company in South Texas, says he’s been forced to install fencing at job sites to protect his workers from ICE. “It’s embarrassing for the land of the free, to have to do this,” Melendez told @camiloreports. Unable to find workers, Melendez, a 2024 Trump voter and 2020 Biden voter, says he plans to vote for Democrats in the midterm elections.

So basically the guy is harboring criminals by building a border wall around his company? What's even more laughable is that the business owner put up a fence around his property and will accuse officers of being on his land illegally if they enter. You can't make this stuff up.
ICE fired back this way:

What even was CBS News' point? ICE is enforcing immigration laws and a business owner is trying to prevent that from happening and should be arrested for obstruction?
So he spent money to install a security fence to prevent law enforcement from getting to his illegal business. Ok.
