The Michigan Senate campaign of radical Democrat (pardon the redundancy) Abdul El-Sayed hit a new level of desperation this week when it was decided to pretend he had a debate scheduled with Mike Rogers but the Republican candidate backed out.
Not only that, but a local media outlet played along with it and the Dem accounts proceeded to also lie about what happened of course:

A political debate was going to be moderated by a Democrat superfan? I couldn't be less shocked. At least the Rogers campaign wouldn't participate in what would have definitely been a "two against one" situation.
