Former North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper is running for Senate in that state against Republican Michael Whatley.
It's vital that the U.S. Senate is kept under GOP control, and we've run across some reminders of who Cooper prioritizes like so many others in his party, and those people are not legal citizens of the country.
We'll start with Whatley exposing yet another Democrat who puts the lives of citizens beneath the Left's effort to protect criminal illegals, no matter who gets harmed in the process:
7 years ago, Roy Cooper chose illegal aliens over the people of North Carolina when he vetoed a bill that would force Sheriffs to honor ICE detainers.

Happy Anniversary, Roy. You wouldn't even deport an illegal alien who killed a 6 year old girl.
Cooper will always fight… pic.twitter.com/WVx2Faa1nV
"Cooper will always fight harder for criminals and illegal aliens than the people of North Carolina - despicable." That is 100 percent true.
The NRSC has a couple of statements about how vital it is to vote Republican in North Carolina in the coming election. We'll start with this one:
Roy Cooper vetoed legislation requiring sheriffs to work with ICE seven years ago today, protecting criminal illegals from deportation. Cooper caved to pressure from a left-wing dark money group to veto the legislation.
Cooper would veto two more bills requiring local law enforcement to cooperate with ICE.
North Carolinians like Fletcher Harris and Skylar Provenza paid the price when a criminal illegal killed them despite his long rap sheet.
Because of Cooper's left-wing policies, there are many more tragic stories like these.
"For 40 years, radical leftist Roy Cooper fought to protect criminal illegals, including murderers and rapists turning North Carolina into a sanctuary state," said NRSC Regional Press Secretary.

Here's another reason Cooper should be defeated in November (or maybe we should say "a few dozen reasons"):
Kent Orozco Martinez is a criminal illegal alien from Colombia who was arrested in Raleigh, North Carolina by ICE. Martinez’s long rap includes battery of an unborn child, kidnapping, and several assault and strangulation charges.
But under Cooper’s time as Attorney General and Governor, Martinez was never turned over to ICE thanks to Cooper protecting criminal illegals from deportation.-Possession of drug paraphernalia
-Possession of stolen goods.
-Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance and second degree trespassing.
-Battery of an unborn child.
-Assault by strangulation.
-Second degree kidnapping.
-Assault on a female.
-Assault on a female, again.
-Helping underage kids obtain alcohol.
-Resisting a public officer and damaging property.
-Assault by strangulation, again.
-Assault on a female, once again.
-Damaging property.
-Possession of burglary tools and misdemeanor larceny.
After racking up a long and violent record, Martinez was finally arrested by ICE and taken off the streets.
A "model citizen," as Joe Biden once claimed about the kinds of people he and Cooper worked so hard to keep above the law. If that criminal were from Maryland, Sen. Van Hollen might have already had margaritas with him.
Perhaps Rory Cooper has already done that.

Editor’s Note: We voted for mass deportations, not mass amnesty. Help us continue to fight back against those trying to go against the will of the American people and keep Democrats like Roy Cooper out of the Senate.
