The year 2020 made several things abundantly clear. Among them was that public health has been politicized beyond recognition, censorship is acceptable (even encouraged) if it helps the Democrats win, the Left believes a more just society can be brought about by burning down buildings in cities, and that the media is irreparably broken. On the latter point, one infamous picture and chyron said it all:

That should be the main exhibit in the "2020 Journalism" museum.
Perhaps the biggest self-immolation of them all was when health "experts" who insisted that, while the rest of us should lock ourselves alone in a closet for a year to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19, BLM riots and other assorted anti-police and antifa mobs were considered safe activities.
NPR published this doozy six years ago yesterday:
Dozens of public health and disease experts have signed an open letter in support of the nationwide anti-racism protests.

"White supremacy is a lethal public health issue that predates and contributes to COVID-19," they wrote.https://t.co/EewPNgDSu3
That came out around the same time my family was being told we had to visit my mother through a window while standing outside her bedroom at a nursing home. I've had nothing but derision for "the experts" ever since.
Throwback: this was the moment any person capable of thinking for themselves realized the Fauci Covid cult was a scam that would gleefully sacrifice all of us at the altar of Saint George Floyd. https://t.co/ggRcPhxXqQ

Remember this next time you're told to blindly trust the "experts." https://t.co/zRoAYCjr5o

While the rest of us were forced to have private funerals for loved ones there were multiple public services for George Floyd while Democrats knelt and wept while cheering on rioters. But at least Newsom arrested that guy who was alone on a paddleboard and saved a lot of lives.
Even more comical is that the media still uses "experts say" in headlines without realizing what those words now mean to so many people.
