It's been more than three years since Joe Biden took office, and because all that time has passed it can be easy to forget how the media went after Trump vs. the current administration's relationship with the press.
If and when Biden does take questions, they're scripted softballs from reporters/propagandists who have been selected in advance. When Biden's handlers don't want any questions at all, this is what happens:

Yes indeed, the "most powerful man in the free world" has to ask permission to take questions, and more often than not, that permission is denied. It's incredible, and yet most of the media insists on pretending this is perfectly normal.
Contrast that with a clip going around showing CNN's Jim Acosta, who wrote the "dangerous time to tell the truth in America," getting triggered by then President Trump telling him the truth about the border (and the last three years have proven him to be 100 percent correct):

Now that the border is being invaded, with the blessing of the Biden White House, these same "reporters" are nowhere to be found. But to be safe Biden's handlers won't expose him to unapproved questions (Jim Acosta certainly wouldn't ask about it).

If a reporter was this combative to Biden (not that the White House handlers would allow him to be put in that position), Acosta might even get another book out of it. Except this time it would be a hit job on the reporter and be titled "a dangerous time for a president to tell the truth in America."
They tried to demonize everything this man said and did, and now we’re faced with exactly that, an invasion!
