Democrats like Nancy Pelosi make it clear that they represent the political party that cares about and respects everyone -- unless you don't vote for them, in which case you're lower than a piece of crap.
That was made abundantly clear in 2016 when Hillary Clinton described who was in her "basket of deplorables":Every now and then a Democrat just comes out and makes their contempt for anybody who doesn't vote for them loud and clear, Hillary-style.
This week's example comes courtesy of Nancy Pelosi:
Lacqua asked if the former House speaker was "surprised" by Trump's popularity with his followers.
Pelosi interrupted, noting "surprised" wasn’t the word she would use for it.
"It’s interesting to see how there’s a certain element of the population who would just go for him," she said.
The former speaker trashed this "certain element," saying: "They’re people we would probably never get. They don’t share our values in terms of respect for the dignity and worth of every person and the rest."
