Brian Stelter's 2019 take on Trump-era press secretaries is making the rounds as Jen Psaki heads to MSNBC

Yesterday we told you about White House press secretary Jen Psaki’s reported upcoming career move. Well, technically she’ll still have the same job, it’s just that soon she’ll be lying on television from a different location: MSNBC.

More from Axios:

White House press secretary Jen Psaki is in exclusive talks with MSNBC to join the network after she leaves the White House around May, according to a source close to the matter.
[…]
Details: Psaki has been in close consultation with the White House counsel’s office about her departure, according to two sources familiar with the plans. She’s been treading carefully on the ethics and legal aspects of her plans.

Would Psaki be consulting with the same ethical department at the White House that has said Hunter Biden making six figures a pop with his paintings is totally on the up and up?

In any case, CNN’s Brian Stelter, with some assistance from former Resistance journo Jim Acosta, passed along the story this way:

That’s exactly how CNN’s media correspondent covered stories like that when Trump press secretaries left the White House to join media outlets. Wait, no it isn’t:

It’s real, and it’s spectacular:

You can be pretty sure that people at CNN might defend that Trump-era take by arguing that Psaki didn’t deceive from the briefing podium, which would solidify their hack media status even further.

Narrator: But there would be no update following the Psaki news.

We won’t hold our breath waiting for that to happen.
