Seriously!? AOC assigns blame for NYC crime surge (just guess...)

Earlier this month, President Biden visited New York City and spoke with the city’s new mayor to address the surge in violent crime:

Biden should have just consulted with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, because she seems to have a handle on the root cause:

Really?

Ocasio-Cortez further insisted that the recent election of Mayor Eric Adams, a former NYPD cop, on a law-and-order platform was not “evidence of some sort of decision around policing,” and she accused America of ignoring the reasons behind the rise in crime that accompanied the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Because we run away from substantive discussions about this, we don’t want to say some of the things that are obvious, like, Gee, the child-tax credit just ran out, on December 31st, and now people are stealing baby formula,” AOC said.

Ocasio-Cortez made the comments in an interview with The New Yorker.

This where AOC and I differ. I blame the crime surge on criminals.

Somebody tell AOC the crime surge in NYC isn’t just about people “stealing baby formula.”

Oh, please spare us this. The working people who benefited from the tax credit are not the individuals who are engaged in the crime surge.

Credit where credit is due though, AOC calling the Dem-controlled Congress a “s**tshow” is on the mark.
