Last night, CNN’s Jim Sciutto served up a warning to everybody about sharing “disinformation”:
Don’t share disinformation even for hot takes. It doesn’t help. Disinformation dies without oxygen. Let’s move on from the crazy.
— Jim Sciutto (@jimsciutto) November 14, 2020
That tweet was ripe for one of Drew Holden’s famous threads, which started this way:
?Thread?
It appears that @jimsciutto is worried about sharing disinformation in order to score retweets.
Well, I think Jim should take that up with…Jim Sciutto, over the last four years.
Care for a trip down memory lane? https://t.co/ckI06u11qp

The CNN national security correspondent, fresh off promoting his book while explaining how senior defense officials fooled President Trump into leaving troops on the ground in Syria, was about to get quite the laundry list of reality checks, starting here:
There’s no better place to start than with Russia. And man, was @jimsciutto in on the Russian collusion narrative. pic.twitter.com/DnWVuPX30b
— Drew Holden (@DrewHolden360) November 14, 2020
And the list goes on. It’s a Fake News-a-Palooza!
But you see, for Jim, it wasn’t just collusion in general. He was fine sharing disinformation about nearly every facet of the narrative.
That includes the Steele dossier, of course. pic.twitter.com/5UAzWfO98z
— Drew Holden (@DrewHolden360) November 14, 2020
And @jimsciutto was all in on Steele, and even Bruce Ohr. That take hasn’t…quite held up perfectly. pic.twitter.com/EPcNu7WjQo

Ditto that for Carter Page.
The FBI agent who built the case that they were “getting valuable intelligence Page was acting as [an] agent of a foreign Govt” has since pleaded guilty to forging said evidence. pic.twitter.com/2CMc79ViZu

@jimsciutto even went in on the pee tape, for heaven’s sake! pic.twitter.com/h7DMOO4nWB

I don’t even know what this is. pic.twitter.com/bgtZMjSwt7
— Drew Holden (@DrewHolden360) November 14, 2020
Remember this whopper? How’d that one hold up, @CNN? pic.twitter.com/rpRVYREVVZ
— Drew Holden (@DrewHolden360) November 14, 2020
Disinformation detected! And there’s even more:
Remember when @realDonaldTrump was going to fire Mueller? I remember. pic.twitter.com/0h3Yqh4wlh
— Drew Holden (@DrewHolden360) November 14, 2020
I am not interested in being lectured about disinformation by someone who is going to the mat to defend @RepAdamSchiff’s bogus collusion narrative. pic.twitter.com/u9bfRJ5BeX
— Drew Holden (@DrewHolden360) November 14, 2020
And it should come as no surprise that @jimsciutto pushed the baseless suggestion, refuted by DNI, FBI and CIA that Hunter Biden’s laptop was “disinformation” pic.twitter.com/jxiqMLxgYF
— Drew Holden (@DrewHolden360) November 14, 2020
Jim even went in on the Russian bounties allegations, too, which still haven’t been substantiated despite months of investigation by the military. pic.twitter.com/HkoZyYdt8u
— Drew Holden (@DrewHolden360) November 14, 2020
But it wasn’t even just the Russian collusion conspiracy.
Does anyone else recall the “largely peaceful” protests? Jim called them “enduring” and “diverse” pic.twitter.com/CYneEKxgjr
— Drew Holden (@DrewHolden360) November 14, 2020
Remember that time that Kim Jong Un was on death’s doorstep? pic.twitter.com/nq28EZW4EC
— Drew Holden (@DrewHolden360) November 14, 2020
Listen, I’m sympathetic to the idea that we should wait before spreading something that could be disinformation.
But it’s very, very rich to have the Russian collusion crowd like @jimsciutto, who have pushed lies as truth, over and over again, lecture about caution.
— Drew Holden (@DrewHolden360) November 14, 2020
The media self-unawareness, hypocrisy and projection are off the charts.
Drew calling out the hypocrisy in grand style. As always, Drew brings receipts!! https://t.co/pSU2mpEH2L

This is a great @DrewHolden360 thread on the misreporting by @CNN's @jimsciutto. Maybe @CNN's media critic should do a story on how this reporter got so many things wrong:https://t.co/oHppvKo6mB

Thread : Amazing to see all the BS we've been flooded with for 5 years https://t.co/f0Btqioqb6

It’s truly stunning to see all in one place.
