As the House Dems’ impeachment push continues to move forward at a non-transparent snail’s pace, the double-standards are hard to ignore. Kimberley Strassel gave just a few examples in her thread today:
1) The double standards on the left (and in the media) have become breathtaking to behold. Take Vindman. We are told his military service gives him extra credibility. OK. But this comes a mere week after the same people lambasted Army Major Tulsi Gabbard as a Russian asset.

2) And it certainly never stopped the same people from excoriating John Kelly or Jim Mattis or HR McMaster. And let's not even go into their biased coverage or claims against Michael Flynn.

3) We are also now told that it is not right to question patriotism of Vindman, just cuz he was born in Ukraine. Fine. But it wud have been nice if they'd had that position back when they were questioning loyalty of scores of Americans during the Russia collusion hoax.

4) It's enough to give you whiplash.

Simply amazing.
The media has a narrative and a template. Anything can and is used to fit their view of the world. Journalism and activism are inseparable.

Thread on the blatant hypocrisy..?
I now subscribe to the theory the hypocrisy is intentional. It's a power statement: "We're the elite establishment & we can say whatever we want."
It's also how the country got Trump. https://t.co/3RVw8mhTti

If it weren't for Double Standards, dems would have no Standards at all. ⬇️ https://t.co/L0OecGmYLY
