President Trump sparked plenty of backlash after saying he’d consider accepting oppo research on a political opponent if it came from a foreign source. Republican Rep. Jim Jordan told the Dems today to give it a rest and that they’re in no position to jump on the outrage train after what happened in 2016:
Talk about taking foreign help.
Hillary Clinton hired a foreign spy. He talked to Russians and put together an oppo research document. It wasn’t verified, but the FBI used it to spy on the Trump campaign.

Attorney General Bill Barr has said he’s digging deeper to find out more details about all this, and Democrats suddenly aren’t fans of full transparency.
So you're saying the condemnation by "genius" @SpeakerPelosi & the #FakeNews should be directed at the Clinton/Obama cabal who actually committed collusion with foreign governments? https://t.co/QXwKOdIw4v

One thing’s for sure: Jordan really kicked a hornet’s nest with his tweet:
Really? You can't distinguish between the British and the Russians?

Liar, liar pants on fire!! Britain is hardly a "foreign adversary". They are our closest ally sending one of their top spies with intimate knowledge of KGB to assist our government. That is what allies do. Jim you are …… and ….. and ….! https://t.co/JxGIw38yZA

None of this is true. Not even remotely.
FusionGPS hired Steele to start the Dossier.
Steele himself went to the FBI with what he found.
The FBI did not use the Dossier as a basis for any counterintelligence work.
Jordan is a good little trumper. This will get him a cookie. https://t.co/g02VI6jG8q
