'Swing and a miss'! NY Daily News remembers when 'players were insulted' by Trump's fast food spread (but nobody else does)

As we told you earlier, President Trump hosted the North Dakota State, who won the FCS Championship in January. Just like Trump did when he hosted the Clemson Tigers, the lunch spread was fast food — this time, McDonalds and Chick-fil-A:

The New York Daily News tried to turn the story into one of Trump fumbling the ball again, remembering the Clemson luncheon this way:

Really?

That seemed to be the general consensus at the time, but now the NYDN remembers it differently, even though the story doesn’t offer any examples of Clemson players saying they were “insulted.”
