Robert Mueller’s office released a statement yesterday afternoon that basically called BS on the Buzzfeed report that had the Resistance media basically saying impeachment proceedings could be imminent. This morning, President Trump was among those dropping a hammer on Buzzfeed and any other media types who helped spread the story:

NBC News’ Chuck Todd used the occasion of Buzzfeed’s backfired “bombshell” to try and turn the tables on critics of the media who helped the story spread like wildfire:
Those trying to tar all media today aren’t interested in improving journalism but protecting themselves. There’s a lot more accountability in media these days than in our politics. We know we live in a glass house, we hope the folks we cover are as self aware.
