After yesterday’s midterm elections, the Democrats regained control of the House, but the Republicans increased their number of Senate seats. It wasn’t the big “blue wave” many on the Left were hoping for, and Hillary Clinton’s former campaign manager has the excuses ready to go:
Looks like Dems won the popular vote by 7-9 points yesterday. That’s more than GOP margin in 1994 or 2010–both “big waves”. Gerrymandering is real. It’s why Democrats didn’t win more seats. But wins for Gov, state leg and even state Supreme Court will translate into fairer maps.
