Florida Democrat gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum’s getting some high profile support from a law enforcement official in the state, and here’s who it’s from:
Sheriff Scott Israel, who’s been laying low politically in recent months, is among a who’s who of Broward Democrats coming together to help raise money for their party’s gubernatorial nominee, Andrew Gillum. https://t.co/yuFGR2LL79 pic.twitter.com/KRKJtcl887

It depends on what your definition of “helping” is, according to many:

.@browardsheriff @scottjisrael, whose negligence & incompetence directly contributed to massacre of 14 kids & 3 teachers at #MSD, is supporting @AndrewGillum for Governor, who is under FBI investigation for corruption & malfeasance. Both must be held accountable. #flpol #sayfie https://t.co/3LFZvlOhWc

What credible candidate would want such inept leadership attached to their campaign!

That might not be the endorsement the Gillum campaign thinks it is.
Scott Israel supports Gillum? That's an automatic DeSantis vote from me..

Floridians need a governor who will protect them from failed government officials like Sheriff Israel, not someone who asks them for money. @RonDeSantisFL will put the safety of our students above political donations. https://t.co/HGex92qqaV

Why is this ass still employed after miserably failing to save those kids!

Today, the Sun Sentinel reported that Sheriff Scott Israel is fundraising for Andrew Gillum. Sheriff Israel was incompetent, and his failure to interfere during the tragic loss of life at Marjory Stoneman… https://t.co/zb88dRF7JQ

Good luck with that, Mr. Gillum.
