CNN’s Brian Stelter is the Energizer Bunny of armchair Resistance media amateur psychiatrists when it comes to President Trump. On Sunday, Stelter’s effort to try and make some not-so-subtle diagnoses about Trump’s mental state based on tweets and the president’s apparent favorite cable news net of choice (which of course isn’t CNN) stepped up a notch:
If we were watching this unfold from some other country, we'd question the US president's wellness. "Is the president okay?" pic.twitter.com/9XsHAC9L0f

Well, that certainly was something. First things first:
Are you ok Brian? https://t.co/0ptWfhOK4h

We’re not so sure, but Stelter sure did prove some points, though perhaps not the ones he was going for.
CNN has become a hybrid of Media Matters and Louise Mensch.https://t.co/NPih9m5QLp

Everyone who disagrees with you is insane. Next: why is media trust so low? https://t.co/rbStn7tMKk

They just don’t get it.
Please stop asking why everyone hates you.
This is why. ?? https://t.co/CkzCfbfBID

Remember when Stelter was all mad that (iirc) @JamesHasson20 said he was kind of obsessed with questioning POTUS's mental state? https://t.co/HBr3B5OXdj

Again with this, Brian? Certainly some are unwell. https://t.co/c20uqZNOIr

It certainly shows that some in the media are unwell.

Eventually, Stelter had heard enough:
He compared Mueller's "gang" to McCarthy, introduced the idea of a "John Dean type 'RAT,'" and claimed that "some members of the media" called to "complain and apologize" for the NYT's scoop about McGahn. He also misspelled the word "counsel" three times. What would you say?

A responsible psychiatrist, which you are not, does not diagnose a person they haven't met with. Stay in your lane Brian, which is misinforming the public. https://t.co/FzSRO9BrRF

I put these "symptoms" into Web MD and got nothing https://t.co/CdTDHOM9nN

But being concerned about a lump body tossed into a van like a sack of potatoes was a wild conspiracy.

And Trump hasn’t even been in office anywhere near two years yet. Where’s Stelter going to take his Trump diagnoses from here? Stay tuned!
