Rep. Maxine Waters recently called on the public to harass members of President Trump’s cabinet wherever they go:

Nancy Pelosi’s statement in response is carefully measured. The House Minority Leader called Waters’ comments “unacceptable” but also said Trump has provoked those kinds of reactions:
In the crucial months ahead, we must strive to make America beautiful again. Trump’s daily lack of civility has provoked responses that are predictable but unacceptable. As we go forward, we must conduct elections in a way that achieves unity from sea to shining sea. https://t.co/vlpqOBLK4R

That reaction did NOT please some in the Resistance.
This is weak.
But check out the responses from the liberals who are mad at Nancy for this weaksauce rebuke of Waters's nonsense. https://t.co/6aikQnhfO9

It’s true that many on the Left are not happy with Pelosi’s response:
PLEASE, DEMOCRATS:
Do NOT fall into the Republican/media trap of agreeing that peacefully protesting people who are enabling a march to fascism is being "uncivil." In fact, a mark of civilization is resisting the ever-present forces of oppression. https://t.co/Fy88KnVBVw

Hello, Rep. Pelosi. I'd be careful not to throw black women under the bus. As a privilege white woman, you don't get to choose how black folks respond to white supremacy that doesn't threaten your personal safety. https://t.co/L6JMNU1Zyt

Maxine Waters is correct. You need to listen to her.

nope. this is how you will lose and get fired. you'd better pay attention to what's actually happening out here. this isn't debate class. this is 1932 Germany and THIS population is not making those same mistakes. get with it or get out of the way,.

This reminds me of nothing so much as Hubert Humphrey's call for a "politics of joy" after the King assassination. https://t.co/TL32uYpUaf

We’ll wait and see if Pelosi clarifies her comments one way or another due to the backlash.
