Senator Chuck Schumer is among Democrats sounding the alarm about what’s happening at the border, but has rejected a GOP plan to change the current law. Schumer said that legislation isn’t the way to “fix” this particular problem, so instead the New York liberal suggested Trump sidestep Congress using his EO pen. Schumer even offered Trump a pen to use:
Anyone who believes this Republican Congress is capable of addressing this issue is kidding themselves. @realDonaldTrump can end this crisis with the flick of his pen, and he needs to do so now.

NEW: Brandishing a pen, Sen. Schumer says Pres. Trump can fix his administration's family separation practice with a presidential order.
"I'll lend you my pen. Any pen! You can fix it yourself." https://t.co/9ScqPwebvU pic.twitter.com/iupDP5BdQS

Hopefully Schumer remembers this the next time he’s slamming Trump for an executive order he doesn’t like (Spoiler: He won’t remember it).
The same people that call Trump a tyrant, dictator, and literally Hitler want Trump to circumvent Congress by executive order. https://t.co/7RxgmLbPr2

Remember whe. Trump being a Dictator and bypassing Congress was bad? Pepperidge Farm remembers…. https://t.co/jFbVrWTU9E

Liberals like Schumer won’t see the irony.
