'LOL, no.' Ex-Obama speechwriter sounds 'troubling' alarm about Trump skipping WHCD, FAIL ensues [video]

President Trump has made it known that he’s not going to the White House Correspondents Dinner. Here’s what he’ll be doing instead on Saturday:

“Why would I want to be stuck in a room with a bunch of fake news liberals who hate me?” says Pres Trump about why he won't be attending the WH Correspondents Dinner this weekend. In fundraising email, says he'll be holding a campaign rally in Michigan instead.

Former Obama speechwriter David Litt is afraid that decision could leave the Republic teetering on the brink of collapse, or something:

Trump’s refusal to attend the White House Correspondent’s Dinner is more troubling than you think pic.twitter.com/FapHhaJxqc

To paraphrase Bill Clinton, it depends on what your definition of “troubling” is:

Literally nothing could be less troubling…

I like how this Obama speechwriter goes from "Presidents need to prove they can take a joke" straight to Obama "owning Trump" at the 2011 dinner. https://t.co/jaOZ8B23ua

'I wrote speeches and jokes for President Obama.'

There's a difference? https://t.co/hzrmpfpVzK
