President Trump sat down today for a “listening session” with survivors of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida. The words from survivors and their families weren’t enough to satisfy Touré, and the DNC, which has called on Trump to “do something,” doesn’t believe the president’s doing anything, especially when it comes to offering thoughts and prayers:
Ryan, a Stoneman Douglas student, said politicians want to sweep gun violence under the rug. After Trump meets students like Ryan & Sheryl today, will he actually take meaningful action to stop these tragedies, or will he continue to make empty promises while refusing to act? pic.twitter.com/IG7AunkzGG

Will Trump do more than pay lip service to gun safety reforms? Or will he offer these students and teachers more empty rhetoric, thoughts, & prayers like the GOP always does? https://t.co/EC7WC5y2Wf

Nothing wrong with legislating for change, but if you keep up the snarky, condescending bullshit on 'thoughts & prayers,' I'll be voting for whomever doesn't go out of their way to insult my beliefs. https://t.co/coW7mZ9JzO

The Dems really have their finger on the pulse of the majority of the electorate.
