D'OH! NY Times writer's race to 'repeal' the 2nd Amendment crashes into brick wall of reality

A Bret Stephens column in the New York Times from October of last year, titled “Repeal the Second Amendment,” has re-upped by another Times’ writer in the wake of the mass shooting in Florida:

Makes it sound so easy, doesn’t it? However, reality begs to differ.

The 2nd Amendment states the right “shall not be infringed,” acknowledging the right already exists. Additionally, there would be many other complications with that particular repeal effort:
