As Twitchy readers are already aware, the New York Times caused quite a freakout on the Left by NOT following the Democrat marching orders and instead blaming the shutdown on the GOP and Trump:
NY Times pours COLD water on Dems' effort to blame shutdown on Trump (and libs are PISSED) https://t.co/qdslJQxknq

The Dems should fasten their seat belts, because the Associated Press isn’t going with their spin either:
The Latest: Senate Democrats derail bill to avert shutdownhttps://t.co/bzIaGJOyQK

Suffice to say the AP’s going to join the NY Times in the liberals’ doghouse for failing to play along with the Dem narrative:
Bullsh!t.

Hey, @AP_Politics can you tell me when Dems became the majority party in the Senate? I can't find the date that happened. Thanks. #TrumpShutdown https://t.co/M8cMl4tiMH

I see @AP_Politics is vying with the @nytimes in their complete lack of understanding that Republicans own the Senate, House and White House and this #TrumpShutdown is on them. https://t.co/chgQXZAYgZ

Nope, fix the headline #TrumpShutdown
— Paul (@thepet24) January 20, 2018
Worst headline ever. Dafuq, @AP_Politics ? https://t.co/9sneS04ZvJ

It wasn’t derailed or blocked — it failed to generate enough support.
Shame on you, @AP

When even the Democrats’ friendlies in the mainstream media can’t go along, they might have a problem:
Again, how did they not think this is how it would play? https://t.co/41R0Zf3IRj
