UH OH! Debra Messing so triggered by NYT profile of Ben Shapiro she canceled her subscription

The New York Times this week featured a profile of conservative and Twitchy favorite Ben Shapiro:

Ben Shapiro is a hero to millennial conservatives looking for an alternative to Trump and Trumpism https://t.co/XaXv9eXbXE

— NYT Politics (@nytpolitics) November 24, 2017

Very good profile of @benshapiro https://t.co/6EWUFnegkh

— Jamie Weinstein (@Jamie_Weinstein) November 24, 2017

Why is the word "provocative", like the word "angry" largely used to describe conservatives? Are there no angry provocative liberals? I find @benshapiro to be astute and witty. https://t.co/MFi07SPQbs

Good NYT profile of @benshapiro, a v impt conservative voice, challenging the left in the right way – with logic & arguments. https://t.co/x9qSfvjXhA

Former Media Matters staffer Eric Boehlert was among the unamused on the Left:

NYT writes puff piece on a former Breitbart bottom feeder. number of critics, liberals, Dems quoted in piece: zero https://t.co/4mWyiCDU0L

— Eric Boehlert (@EricBoehlert) November 24, 2017

this is why Trump is president

Actress Debra Messing has seen enough:

And why I cancelled my subscription to @nytimes https://t.co/gRsnwM9T0w

— Debra Messing (@DebraMessing) November 24, 2017

Messing wasn’t alone in her reaction to exposure to differing opinions:

Same here! Total waste of my time, money, and an assault on my sense of common decency and reason.

— SylJones1 (@sydj1405) November 24, 2017

Ditto.

— MaineMilkmaid (@mainemilkmaid) November 24, 2017

Same

Maybe the NY Times could get back in Messing’s good graces by comparing the NRA to murderous terrorist organizations.
