After the riot in Berkeley last night to shut down free speech on campus, President Trump issued a warning:
If U.C. Berkeley does not allow free speech and practices violence on innocent people with a different point of view – NO FEDERAL FUNDS?

California Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom is beside himself:
As a UC Regent I'm appalled at your willingness to deprive over 38,000 students access to an education because of the actions of a few. pic.twitter.com/zzUaaaUM3u

First and foremost, you’d think Newsom might be most troubled by something else:
As Lieutenant Governor of California, you *should* be appalled at this assault on free speech and destruction of property. #disgraceful ? https://t.co/NtRbd7hXkY

As an American, I am appalled at you siding with anti-free speech fascists.
Appalled, not surprised https://t.co/b049ve3zVF— Don Surber (@donsurber) February 2, 2017
As a California taxpayer, I'm appalled that UC & BPD chose not to maintain order & protect both free speech & student safety.@GavinNewsom https://t.co/rYILMlOZex

I'm appalled at your lack of condemnation for the actions of MANY for shutting down & assaulting ppl who disagree. It was unAmerican, bro. https://t.co/hIhd7Z5NGv

Still waiting for Gavin's tweet about being appalled to see free speech shut down through violent means. https://t.co/NzGUqE4aNq

Bingo!
And besides, blaming a whole group for the actions of a few? That sounds familiar.
Now do Gun control https://t.co/kA9p1ocsi6

Yes, please do, Lt. Gov. Newsom!
