Donald Trump tweeted this morning about the DNC hack:
Only reason the hacking of the poorly defended DNC is discussed is that the loss by the Dems was so big that they are totally embarrassed!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 7, 2017
New York Times White House correspondent Glenn Thrush had a question about Trump’s tweet:
Isn't it a commander-in-chief's responsibility to protect US institutions from foreign attacks? 'General welfare' or selective welfare? https://t.co/XuJLo8Yeq4
— Glenn Thrush (@GlennThrush) January 7, 2017
He’s got a point! But first, just one thing…
Who is it that's commander-in-chief right now? I forgot. https://t.co/rtKnPfKw8c

There’s just the little detail about exactly who has been president for the past eight years.
Um ….. Maybe you should ask Obama that? It was on his watch, afterall. https://t.co/8gwb6SddS1

Why, it's almost as if @GlennThrush isn't cognizant enough to notice who is currently President. https://t.co/Wn1Ncy0Cli

Who was in charge when these hacks happened? https://t.co/lX1Qv7muoU

Why yes Glenn, it is. pic.twitter.com/DnVfqKRCTA
— Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) January 7, 2017
Uh, who's currently CIC? Hint:You're asking the wrong man. https://t.co/vwUqGxd30v

Let's ask @POTUS. https://t.co/RexcLcaOLk

So that pretty much backfired.
An admission from noted hack @GlennThrush that Obama has failed. https://t.co/oVmyz5OfCL

Who’s the current CiC and had been for the past 8 years?
— DC Dude (@DCDude1776) January 7, 2017
In doing nothing in response to the #OPMHack, Obama put a “kick me” sign on the US. Where were you then?
— DC Dude (@DCDude1776) January 7, 2017
so you are asking the current President this question correct? "One president at a time" @realDonaldTrump
— Reaganette (@Ezinger44) January 7, 2017
Really! Obama completely failed to protect the personal data of MILLIONS of current, past, and even potential gov't employees!
— That's LIEUTENANT COMMANDER Crapplefratz! (@Crapplefratz) January 7, 2017
@realDonaldTrump Glen, email Podesta and ask him who the current president is.

Excellent suggestion.
