Slate's Jamelle Bouie wonders if condemnation of harasser means Ivanka Trump's 'beyond criticism'

This is a sad straw man argument from someone smart enough to know better. https://t.co/EhOJBK4XoY

Two people were removed from a JetBlue flight earlier today after one of them harassed Ivanka Trump, who was on the plane with her child. Slate’s Jamelle Bouie found a way to twist it into this:

One question deserves another:

Also, when did harassing because “talking” and “questioning”?

The “argument” seems pretty clear cut:

Actually people are arguing you don't make a spectacle on planes and go after a parent in front of her children. https://t.co/nZnZiCrhQE

Bingo.

I think the argument is don't act like a raging idiot on an airplane, no matter who's on it. https://t.co/WKAFOxyXYP

No. No one is saying that. Do more thinking. https://t.co/FeFbFSi7hp

You don't yell at people on planes. You especially don't yell at people on planes with their kids. I really don't think this one is hard. https://t.co/Fd7h13PWYB

People R saying that harassing a mother with her children on a plane is Out Of Line AND it is. Nothing Manly! @IvankaTrump @realDonaldTrump https://t.co/FKyH1cRguj

Yes I'm sure if a conservative screamed at Malia Obama you would be totally understanding and cool about it, right? https://t.co/owHGAiRlgS

@jbouie So common courtesy can be ignored if you just don't like something enough. Watch what you wish for.

The double standards are amazing.
