Director of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson is in Louisiana monitoring the area’s recovery from deadly flooding. President Obama has been criticized for remaining on Martha’s Vineyard and golfing during the state’s emergency, but Johnson said Obama’s busy schedule has kept him from visiting.

Louisiana’s Democrat Gov. John Edwards provided Obama with some additional cover:
