Dem congressman gets in spirit of Independence Day by quoting from Declaration (just one problem)

Democrat member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Rhode Island, David Cicilline, argues that guns aren’t regulated as much as other things, and should be:

Again, we regulate medicine. Board certifications, malpractice lawsuits. Nothing comparable for guns. https://t.co/rVyQyy2sBi

A fair question followed:

Please demonstrate where medicine is a Constitutionally protected right. @phred47

Rep. Cicilline’s response?

Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. https://t.co/9UhJu3gc0B

Umm…

My God, man. Do you honestly not know that's the Declaration of Independence & not the Constitution?

Just because you swear an oath to uphold the Constitution, that doesn't mean you have to know what's in it. https://t.co/R60CYeRNYF

Congressman, let me encourage you to spend this 4th reading the Declaration and the Constitution. @davidcicilline @PenguinsFan62 @phred47

1: That was the DoI, not Con.
2. If I had a constitutionally protected right to happiness, you'd be out of office. https://t.co/ChuTcQL74d

This is a parody account, right? https://t.co/WBsZtUofZY
