'Failure in everything they touch': Bergdahl platoon mate blasts delay of court martial to 2017 [video]

Well this is certainly convenient news for Democrats in an election year:

From Fox News:

Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who walked off his combat outpost in Afghanistan and spent five years in captivity, will be court-martialed under a new commander-in-chief.

A military judge decided Tuesday to delay Bergdahl’s trial from August until February to provide time for resolving disputes over the defense team’s access to classified documents.

A platoon mate of Bergdahl’s blasted the delay this morning and summed up the Obama administration in just a few seconds:

In 2014, the Obama administration traded five Taliban commanders who were being held at Gitmo for Bergdahl. President Obama made the announcement of Bergdahl’s release in a Rose Garden appearance with his parents. Susan Rice at the time also said that Bergdahl served with “honor and distinction.”

The court martial delay might spare Democrats some awkward election-year questions, as well as make sure the story isn’t in the headlines during the final months of Obama’s presidency.
