Speaking with CNN’s Jake Tapper yesterday morning, Donald Trump was asked about David Duke’s endorsement of his campaign and given the chance to disavow Duke. Trump responded that he didn’t know enough about the former KKK grand wizard and needed to do more research first.
Trump offered this explanation for why he didn’t disavow Duke in the CNN interview:

On Friday, Trump did seem to know who David Duke was and said he disavowed after being pressed:
