President Obama was having such a tough time selling his trade measure to some in Congress that he visited Capitol Hill this morning to twist the arms of Democrats who haven’t been in support of Obamatrade. We’ll get to how that went in a minute.
Among the arms Obama didn’t have to twist were John Boehner’s. The House Speaker made a plea to Republicans before the trade measure vote that sounded like it was ripped from the liberal rhetorical playbook:
