In 2011, when Michele Bachmann was running for the GOP presidential nomination, she promised $2 a gallon gas. An article in Time referred to the idea that gas could ever return to $2 a gallon as “fantasy,” because #SCIENCE!

The Time article said that if the U.S. saw sub-$2 a gallon gasoline “economic end times may be at hand.”
