After delivering a statement about the horrific murder of journalist James Foley at the hands of an ISIS terrorist, President Obama immediately headed for the golf course. Many thought that was in poor taste, and even some Obama lapdogs questioned the president’s decision to golf:

Et tu, Ezra Klein?
When you've lost Ezra… MT @ezraklein: Critiques of POTUS vacations are dumb. But golfing today is in bad taste. Not sure how to reconcile.

Although eventually somebody at Vox might Voxsplain why it wasn’t in poor taste.
About one of those “gifts” Obama gave up to become president:
Clearly golf was not the gift that Obama had to give up in order to become president, right Ezra? https://t.co/DNRjTRZ4VI

Klein wasn’t alone. Politico’s Dylan Byers is often among those journos who have Obamas back, but not necessarily on this day:
I usually dismiss the "Obama golfs as the world burns" critics. I find his decision to golf today somewhat baffling.

Just “somewhat baffling” though.
Leads one to wonder, POTUS disconnect only "somewhat baffling" what would baffle @DylanByers when POTUS reports 40 holes-in1? @SonnyBunch
