The Green Bay Packers defeated the Dallas Cowboys 37-36 today. Any hopes of a Cowboys comeback were dashed when the Packers intercepted a Tony Romo pass with time running out.
The same “joke” then started making the rounds on Twitter:

A quick search of Twitter shows that this “joke” has been re-used most of the season whenever the Cowboys have lost, and today was no different.
THIS JUST IN:
TONY ROMO ATTEMPTS SUICIDE IN THE LOCKER ROOM.
BULLET WAS INTERCEPTED.

Still not funny.
But worst of all, unoriginal RT @mattdpearce: Twitter is weird, and creepy pic.twitter.com/EuWtM0qTJp

@atotalmonet thanks for this. I feel like my tweets are slightly less lame now.

Lame, and quite dated:
@TwitchyTeam @michellemalkin that joke is as old as football.
