The successful grass-roots recall efforts in Colorado yesterday cost gun control advocates politically, but as MSNBC host Ari Melber demonstrated, the vote did not cost them the ability to misidentify what they are all about.

“Gun safety advocates”? Nice try:
@CMerlo1 @AriMelber @charlescwcooke @RBPundit Words mean things. Magazine capacity has zero to do with "gun safety", douche.

@AriMelber "Gun safety". LOL. You're Orwelladorable.
— Mark O'Wokeness (@Solvang84) September 11, 2013
“Orwelladorable”? Ha!
@AriMelber @charlescwcooke @rbpundit "Gun Safety" means proper storage and handling of guns, to prevent accidental injury or death.

@charlescwcooke I love the Orwellian double-speak. As if they're not looking to ban guns, but make them safer. @AriMelber

And to the “gun safety advocates,” what kind of gun is safer than one you can’t touch?
Two final reminders:

FYI, @AriMelber, the @NRA is the largest "gun safety advocate" group in the world. You know this, right?

Does Melber want to know who are the absolute worst “gun safety advocates”? Gun safety advocates!
