Actress Marina Sirtis thrilled 'The View' rid of Hasselbeck's 'hateful' opinion

Especially not on a program titled “The View”!

As Twitchy reported yesterday, Elisabeth Hasselbeck will be leaving ABC’s “The View” and joining Fox News.

Actress Marina Sirtis, thrilled by the thought of a Hasselbeck-free “The View,” published this tweet before deleting it:

Maybe that’s why the show is called “The View” and not “The Views.”

After some blowback, Sirtis tweeted this:

I'll say it again. I like to get different opinions but I won't tolerate rudeness or disrespect to me or anyone else.

That combination of tweets got some reaction from fans of irony:

Others weighed in:

@Marina_Sirtis How do you conclude that views different from yours R "hate"? I disagree w/some of your views but that does not mean you hate

@Marina_Sirtis So I'm going to assume then you find Joy Behar to be tolerant and non-judgmental? #hypocrisy

@Marina_Sirtis Always interested in hearing what people think is hateful about Elizabeth Hasselbeck. Example?

Tweeters reminded Sirtis that she doesn’t have to wait until the programs change hosts:

@Marina_Sirtis Uh, you do know there’s this invention called the ‘remote control’ which you can use to change the channel. #pitiful

Jeez, you'd think someone on TV would understand the concept of changing the channel. @Marina_Sirtis

Sirtis should wait to find out who is chosen to replace Hasselbeck before throwing that party.
