Yesterday we told you that the Washington Post had a rather odd way of framing the Waukesha massacre, calling it a tragedy that was “caused by an SUV.”
Apparently somebody at the Post decided that framing wasn’t being well received:
We’ve deleted a previous tweet for this story that included language that was changed after publish.
— The Washington Post (@washingtonpost) November 25, 2021
That deletion wouldn’t have anything to do with the original tweet getting ratioed into oblivion, would it?

WaPo’s replacement decided to just go with a vague approach:
What we know so far on the sequence of events that led to the Waukesha tragedy https://t.co/8jGYTk3iIM
— The Washington Post (@washingtonpost) November 25, 2021
Now it’s a “sequence of events” that led to a “tragedy.”

How does that happen in the first place?

Excellent rhetorical question.
