Dem Reps. Adam Schiff & Ted Lieu are HOPING this #CohenTape proves Trump violated the law [audio]

Tuesday night, CNN aired part of a 2016 recording between then candidate Donald Trump and his former lawyer, Michael Cohen:

On phone w/ Lanny Davis. Cohen decided, working with Davis, to release the tape “following extensive discussions” with his lawyers about the timing and consequence of doing so, Davis says. “Quite a discussion, I can say that.”

The recording is muddled in parts and is a far cry from all the “Russia collusion” accusations with which The Resistance has been trying to bring down Trump, but Resistance Dem Reps. Adam Schiff and Ted Lieu are smelling blood nonetheless:

As former prosecutor, 3 things notable about Cohen tape:

1) Clear Giuliani was untruthful when he said Trump didn’t know

2) Goal was to kill story before election, so campaign motivated

3) Regardless of cash or check, whole point of phony corp. was to hide campaign expenditure

But because of all the Democrat alarmism about Trump/Russia collusion, tax cuts taking the lives of millions and the repeal of Obama-era net neutrality leaving abject misery in its wake, it isn’t surprising that some don’t think that recording — whatever it ends up amounting to — is the end of the world:
