LOL: Vox points out what Dems are doing after FINALLY 'getting a chance to vote on a Democrat-sponsored immigration bill'

We’ve brought this up before, but now that Vox is on it the story has become even funnier:

For the first time in years, House Democrats are getting the chance to vote on a Democrat-sponsored immigration bill — and they are planning to vote against it. https://t.co/dN6FIVnVXP

— Vox (@voxdotcom) July 14, 2018

Many Democrats have called for ICE to be abolished, and three liberal members of Congress co-sponsored legislation that would do just that. After the GOP leadership made it clear they would allow a vote on it, those three Dems said they’d vote against their own bill, and said Republicans allowing a vote on the bill were engaging in a political “stunt.”

In other words, the Republicans called the Democrats’ bluff. https://t.co/qLp5HTMIYi

Bingo.

If you're not serious enough to vote for the legislation you put forward, then STFU and sit down. The adults will take it from here. https://t.co/ceqzD3DPTh

Libs opposing the libs own policies to own the cons https://t.co/fIgzBugkJg

So the party of opposition opposes the opposition (itself)? https://t.co/P4o3YPwMsN

Current Dem strategy:
Anyone who opposes our bill to #AbolishICE is a Nazi, and so is anyone who lets us vote on it! https://t.co/Lo7Q9j8Tht

Democrats: it’s terrible that the republicans would always obstruct legislation during the Obama era

Also Democrats: https://t.co/O71jNkxZAi

Hilarious! And if you thought Vox would blame Republicans for this particular Democrat rake-stepping, you were right:

“Republicans know Abolish ICE is divisive for Democrats, so they’re taking the most left-wing proposal out there and putting it up for a vote.”

Oh, so it’s Republicans’ fault. Good to know. ???‍♂️ https://t.co/kznYN7rHlC

However, Howard Dean thinks the bill could be salvaged

Dems should amend the bill so it would be workable with transfer of functions etc. if R's refuse, their ploy is transparent. If they vote it down, they clearly have no interest in reform. Two can play this game. No one will out do Nancy Pelosi when it comes to House tactics. https://t.co/CjfdgTgjqU

A Democrat-sponsored bill should be re-written so the same Dems who wrote it will support it? We’ve reached peak 2018.
