'YOLO'! What Dan Rather said about his new job is a lock for the Self-Unawareness Hall of Fame

This might really shock you, but disgraced former CBS Nightly News anchor Dan Rather has taken a job with a progressive outlet:

Scoop: Motivated in part by Trump's attacks on the press & political norms, Dan Rather is launching a show on The Young Turks Network https://t.co/osl5KI6ktU

Dan Rather: "I feel strongly that when you have a president who is continually, relentlessly damning the press … listen, this has to be resisted" https://t.co/osl5KI6ktU pic.twitter.com/lbD1uM4htX

Rather is ready to let America know that he’s got a particular political leaning:

I asked Dan Rather about jumping to a progressive news outlet with clear ideological bent: "At this age and stage in my life, my attitude is, 'What the hell'" https://t.co/osl5KI6ktU

Hey Dan, your left-leaning bias is NOT exactly breaking news!

When was he not working for a news outlet with a clear ideological bent? https://t.co/BMx4k5pzeM

Why hide what everyone already knew? You're a leftist hack. https://t.co/Gc81j97IkQ

Rather seems to think this is all something new.

Nobody was fooled. https://t.co/9RAzrpaKIm

He proved he’s a far left dishonest hack in 2004 with the fake GWB memo, he’ll fit right in. https://t.co/x5OQeVPOrL

“I’ve destroyed any ounce of credibility I thought I might have had once, so hey, why not.” https://t.co/MmzKluMjVE

Which was also his attitude ages ago … https://t.co/WffuUakcLn

What he really said was, "Nothing's different." https://t.co/Sg9E4YydBb

And the mask of @CBSNews objectivity/fairness is finally taken off (we've already known for a long time)

Dan Rather comes out of the closet as a socialist. @Sam_Schulman https://t.co/oPRGEN2ZNl

What the hell, dispense with the pretenses and fictions, embrace “the clear ideological bent” https://t.co/XYD3z4GIEI

His tagline is going to be, "And that's the way I wish it was." https://t.co/TryMwiVwz6
