TMZ: Christa Pike Donated Her Last Meal Money to Buy Pizza for the Homeless

We hate to be sticklers, but we're not sure we believe TMZ's post about death row inmate Christa Pike giving the money that would have paid for her last meal to buy pizza for the homeless. We're just not sure there's a mechanism for those about to be put to death to donate to anything, much less a charity that's set up to deliver donated pizzas to the homeless. In any case, that's what TMZ is claiming:

OK, there's a whole story. TMZ staff report:

Before 2 lethal injections failed to execute her ... Christa Pike refused her last meal and requested the cheesy dish be given to the homeless instead.
When Pike was offered the chance to choose a last meal ... she asked that the $20 allocated for the food be used to buy pizza for the homeless ... the New York Times reported.

That'll get her into Heaven. Maybe she could have asked that the $20 be used to buy fresh flowers for Colleen Slemmer's grave. You know, the girl she tortured and killed.

We'd feel a lot better if she hadn't tortured and murdered Colleen Slemmer (pictured below, so you can ponder your twisted moral values).

TMZ found that one bit of useless trivia in a New York Times piece and decided it deserved its own story. Can we pull the plug on the medical equipment keeping her alive and use the money to buy even more pizza for the homeless? We think that's what she would have wanted.
