Abdul El-Sayed Distances Himself After 'Twitch Streamer' Hasan Piker Targets Jewish State Senator

Twitter

Michigan Republican senatorial candidate Mike Rogers posted over the weekend that if his Democratic Socialist opponent, Abdul El-Sayed, had any courage at all, he would disavow his campaign surrogate Hasan Piker's claim that American Jews are to blame for antisemitism, and if American Jews didn't stop supporting Israel, "someone's going to come around and take action" — a claim he made while showing a picture of Michigan State Sen. Jeremy Moss, who's running for Congress.

The post continues:

… who happens to be Jewish, saying he is unsure if he will be able to support Abdul for these very reasons.

Absolutely DISGUSTING. If Abdul El-Sayed had any courage at all, he would call this out and disavow Hasan Piker once and for all. We’re waiting, Abdul…

As it turns out, El-Sayed did show some courage and disavow Piker, who has campaigned for him. Note that in his statement, El-Sayed refers to Piker only as a Twitch streamer … a Twitch streamer on whose show El-Sayed has appeared.

Is the writing on the wall for these two besties?

El-Sayed has really stepped into it with this statement, because his opponents don't believe it, and his supporters are disappointed in him for falling for a cynical campaign ploy by Rogers. They insist Piker said nothing wrong and that this statement is just capitulation to his opponents.

"Politicians and pundits are trying to make this about a Twitch streamer" to distract from grocery prices and Medicare for All!

Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
