We're always up for some blue-on-blue infighting, but now we have Hasan Piker comparing the NRA and AIPAC, and Parkland father Fred Guttenberg accusing Piker of being a copycat of MAGA tactics. It all started when Moms Demand Action founder Shannon Watts criticized Piker for saying that Sen. Adam Schiff should be in jail.
When Trump threatened to arrest Adam Schiff for being his political enemy, Hasan Piker said: “Oh my God, I hope they arrest him. Oh my God, I hope he goes to prison. Yeah, this is political. Sure. I don’t care. Lock him up. Lock him up.”

i voted for him. this is a joke you dumbass.

Hasan Piker defense bingo card:
It’s a joke, satire, hyperbole
It’s out of context
It was years ago
English is my second language
I stream for hours
Bad faith clipping
Smear campaign
Critics are being paid by Israel
— Shannon Watts (@shannonrwatts) Aug 15, 2026
all of that is true & valid. you behave as a gop operative. aipac is worse than the nra and funded by the same maga billionaires and you’re still attacking its critics because you’re a shameless grifter who doesn’t care about the dem senate majority or punishing trump
— hasanabi (@hasanthehun) August 14, 2026
And you are a copycat of MAGA tactics engaging in alternative facts. As a Jewish person whose daughter was murdered in the Parkland shooting and whose brother died because of 9/11, your attack on Shannon is batshit crazy and your comparison of the NRA and AIPAC only confirms…
— Fred Guttenberg (@fred_guttenberg) August 14, 2026
The post continues:
… your insanity.
Using your MAGA-styled attacks against someone like Shannon or me won't work. Stop being a copycat.
Piker's defenders were out in force.
it's so disappointing to find out you're a Zionist, Fred.

In related infighting news, Neera Tanden doesn't understand why Democrats don't just answer, "Who is Hasan Piker?"
Or they could just say when asked:
— Neera Tanden🌻 (@neeratanden) August 15, 2026
Who is Hasan Piker? He has zero to do with my campaign https://t.co/8WfrG0Gqug
Not so easy to do if you go on his show, hold rallies with him. https://t.co/aL2Zv4KWeQ
— Dan McLaughlin (@baseballcrank) August 15, 2026
People who campaigned with him can't say that. You want all the dems to win in the general right?
— Martin (@martinkasey1) August 15, 2026
Works for everyone but the guy that campaigned with him to close out the primary season.
— LCLaw (@westwoodmom) August 15, 2026
Who is this guy who campaigned with me and interviewed me for his podcast?
— Gary in DFW (@LakerGMC_) August 15, 2026
Rep. Ilhan Omar appeared on his podcast before winning her primary this week.
More candidates lying. That's on brand for you.
— Benjamin Bern (@sambcoltrane) August 15, 2026
You could also stop doing interviews while sounding drunk but here we are
— Zaza Demon’s burner (@ZazaS75874) August 15, 2026
Democrats really do have a problem on their hands with Piker. His defenders are arguing that Piker is the one trying to get more Democrats into that big tent of theirs.
