What do you call this? A pet peeve? I'm infuriated every time I hear Officer Brian Sicknick's name being used to suggest that any Capitol Police officers died as a result of January 6. President Joe Biden even claimed that "multiple" officers lost their lives on January 6. That's quite a stretch, counting suicides that happened months later. But Democrats are desperate to keep alive the myth that January 6 was "deadly," when it was Ashley Babbitt who was shot in the throat by a cop who later got a promotion.
I remember writing about The New York Times reporting that Sicknick had been beaten to death with a fire extinguisher. The Times retracted its claim, but CNN reported that Sicknick died from being sprayed: "One leading theory that investigators are considering is that the suspects sprayed an irritant, perhaps bear spray, that caused Sicknick to suffer a fatal reaction.” Media completely glossed over the texts Sicknick exchanged with his brother, Ken, after the rioting had gotten under control. Sicknick texted that he had been “pepper-sprayed” but was in “good shape.” Earlier, he had texted, "I smell like BO, weed, OC spray and CS gas."
Then came the medical examiner's report, which concluded that Sicknick died of a stroke on January 7. The people who were disappointed that the fire extinguisher story wasn't true insisted the stress of the riot caused the stroke.
So here we are in 2026, and Sen. Corey Booker is announcing that it's "Brian Sicknick Day" in New Jersey. I'm fine with the state having a Brian Sicknick Day if it wants to—I'd rather see that than another George Floyd statue—but Booker repeats that Sicknick "gave his life defending our Capitol and our democracy."
No, he didn't.
Officer Brian Sicknick — a proud son of New Jersey, a veteran, and a true American hero — gave his life defending our Capitol and our democracy.

Today, July 30th is now “Brian Sicknick Day” in our state. May we never forget his courage, his service, and the sacred duty we all…
"… share to protect the institutions he died defending."
He did no such thing. He died of natural causes. You are a lying piece of shit for pushing this asinine propaganda. Fuck you.

Still pushing this BS.

The District of Columbia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner officially ruled on 19 April 2021 that the cause of death was “acute brainstem and cerebellar infarcts due to acute basilar artery thrombosis” (strokes at the base of the brain caused by a blood…
The post continues:
… clot in the basilar artery). The manner of death was classified as natural.
The D.C. medical examiner officially ruled Sicknick's cause of death as natural: two strokes from acute basilar artery thrombosis, with no internal or external injuries found despite exposure to pepper spray during the events.

This did not happen. Why are you treating people like they're stupid?
— Ronnie (@thenudeeggs) July 30, 2026
Tell us how he died. Use details. Don't forget there's an autopsy.

You're DISGUSTING & should be held accountable for blatantly lying to the public. Using a dead person to promote a platform. YOU'RE A PIG. He died from a blood clot after having a stroke from a medical condition. NOT an incident. Look at yourself in the mirror pandering POS
— NJBAMBAM (@NJBAMABAM) July 30, 2026
He had a stroke you lying piece of shit
— awesome (@ksl43) July 30, 2026
Congratulations on the new low you disgusting fucking piece of worthless shit.

Democrats need so badly for a police officer to have died on January 6 that they're exploiting Sicknick to keep the myth going. This is as bad as David Hogg standing on the bodies of his dead classmates.
Let the guy rest in peace.
