Scandinavian Airlines Shoots Ad Claiming Nothing Came From Scandinavia

SAS

Basil the Great posts a lot of propaganda from the European Union, but I don't often report on it because the videos are usually translated, and I can't guarantee what he's saying is what's actually said in the video. But this ad is in English, with English subtitles. This is an ad from Scandinavian Airlines, and I think the point they're trying to make is that people from Norway, Sweden, and Denmark need to buy more plane tickets and travel more. Why? This is where the self-hatred and cultural suicide part comes in. The ad makes a point of saying that Scandinavia has invented nothing at all and that "we're no better than the Vikings."

Look, I could get it if they said, traveling is good because it shows you the roots of Scandinavia. But less than halfway through their pitch about nothing coming from Scandinavia, they cut to a blonde girl who looks into the camera and says, "And it gets worse."

They go easy on the mass migration angle, but still, what is this self-hating propaganda? Even America, the Great Satan, gets a shout-out for the feminist movement.

According to Grok, SAS put out this ad in 2020, and it received quite a bit of backlash.

They could use some more Vikings to pull up in their ships.

Some ad agency had to pitch this idea to SAS, which gave it the green light and even aired it. How many people did this go through without anyone happening to notice they're erasing their own culture?
