I'd almost forgotten that Vox is still around, and judging by its engagement numbers on X, a lot of people seem to have forgotten. Vox is concerned that young, white males are being radicalized … just as everyone claimed when they were listening to Joe Rogan. Vox is propping up this "ragebait" candidate who has no chance of being the next governor of Florida. I suppose James Fishback is one of the new "America First" Republicans who oppose Israel and President Donald Trump. "One thing is for sure," writes Vox, "He’s getting a lot of attention." From Vox. I've never heard of the guy.
James Fishback espouses openly racist and antisemitic views. Young GOP voters are paying attention. https://t.co/eRgXMB80Ws

Miles Bryan and Sean Rameswaram report for Vox:
Fishback is “someone who I think typically couldn’t be elected for dog catcher. But he’s kind of catching on,” Will Sommer, a senior reporter at the Bulwark, told Today, Explained co-host Sean Rameswaram recently. “He’s gaining in the polls, and while he still probably won’t win, I think he’s offering us a face of one potential future for the Republican Party.”
…
Remind people who don’t pay attention to Nick Fuentes and the Groypers what they’re all about.
Nick Fuentes is a young man in his late 20s who marched in Charlottesville. [He’s an] avowed racist and antisemite who has styled himself — particularly after the murder of Charlie Kirk, which created a vacuum — as the racist face of young Republicanism.
What does the Venn diagram look like between Nick Fuentes, and the racist Groypers, and this longshot candidate for Florida governor, James Fishback?
I would say that the Venn diagram is just about a circle.
James Fishback has really welcomed the Groypers’ support. Nick Fuentes has been very complimentary towards him. Fishback will pose for pictures with people in Nick Fuentes merchandise. He’s very close with this right-wing media figure who said she’s going to have some more kids and make some more young Groypers.
"He's getting a lot of attention." Also, "Remind people who don't pay attention to Nick Fuentes and the Groypers what they're all about."
Vox makes it sound like this guy is anything but fringe. But young GOP voters are paying attention.
We are, which is why he's under 5%
— Brian B (@BrianRBnwIN) March 19, 2026
He's polling in the single digits. The only significant attention he's getting is from you.
— Jake (@jakeaporter) March 19, 2026
He polling under 5% and this is the 4th piece in 5 days. He's getting attention, just not the way Vox means it. https://t.co/hW9VafChts pic.twitter.com/XHy09kzyin
— Stephen L. Miller (@redsteeze) March 19, 2026
He has almost zero support. Far-left outlets are the only ones paying attention.
— Satanás (@smejk70030) March 19, 2026
Do you not see that most people now see the games you all play every election, mainly the, “let’s find a Republican candidate saying bad things to repeatedly profile, even if their polling numbers are in single digits.” This while a Dem Senate candidate sports a Naxi tattoo.

You think that’s bad, have you heard about how the Jew Hunter running in Maine is doing? pic.twitter.com/2PkSsgevP9

He's got Elizabeth Warren's endorsement.
He got 5%
— Dr. Independent, PhD (@GroupToStopHate) March 19, 2026
How about you profile the disgusting Jew haters Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and the test of the Squad Nazis?
This guy is a laughingstock among 98% of the GOP
— Phil (@RealPhillyP) March 19, 2026
I'd have no idea who he was if it weren't lefties trying to boost him.
— Mike Seder (@mpaulseder) March 19, 2026
I'd never heard of him until today.
He polls in statistical noise range. He is not "getting attention" except from hacks like you who want to pretend he's some kind of mainstream GOP voice. He's not. He's treated as the kook he is.
— Can of Spam (@iDoLikeSpam) March 19, 2026
Democrats excuse their antisemites. Republicans don't.
He’s pulling at 5% and you’re building a strawman argument here you dumb, dishonest motherfuckers
— Dino75 (@GenX975) March 19, 2026
Seriously, you are fucking garbage human beings
This is why you are universally despised and mocked.
— Constitutional Minarchist (@DavisMinarchist) March 19, 2026
He's a nobody with a small following of losers. Why not cover the guy with the Nazi tattoo running in Maine? He's a lock to win the Democratic primary, and he's polling at about 38 percent to Susan Collins' 42 percent.
Stop trying to make Fishback happen.
