Detransitioner Says That Transitioning Starting at 16 'Nearly Destroyed Me'

We just enjoyed Easter, which last year President Joe Biden declared the Trans Day of Visibility. Biden made a big deal of the Trans Day of Visibility, even shooting a video message to let trans people know that he had their backs. What do we need it for? Trans people have done more than make themselves just "visible." Believe me, we've seen enough of you.

One thing that always irked me is that the Biden White House completely ignored Detrans Awareness Day, which happened in March. I did a post on several detransitioners who told their stories. "I healed my gender dysphoria through self-acceptance and love," said one woman. Last week, detransitioner Chloe Cole made an appearance at Fresno State on "Exposing the Trans Agenda," "Despite the sharp increase in on-campus violence at my events."

Why are they so threatened when someone decides their "authentic self" was the gender they were born with?

It's not Detrans Awareness Day, but I came across this post from a detransitioner that I thought was profound. The trans activists are always trying to blackmail us by saying that children will commit suicide if they don't get the "gender-affirming care" they need. There's not a moment to lose … here, take these puberty blockers and keep coming back for hormone treatments. And maybe we'll do a double mastectomy of perfectly healthy breast tissue.

They only affirmed.
The doctors didn’t explore my past. They didn’t question why a teenager was so desperate to erase his body. They gave me hormones. They booked the surgery. They told me I’d finally feel “whole.”
Instead, I felt nothing. Then pain. Then regret.
It took years to understand that what I needed wasn't to become someone else — but to be seen, heard, and helped as who I already was. A boy in distress. A child looking for answers. And no one gave me the right ones.
I detransitioned. I reclaimed my body, my mind, my truth.
Now I speak out — not from hatred, but from experience. Transition didn’t save me. It nearly destroyed me. And I know I’m not alone. We need to talk about this. We need to protect others. Not with blind affirmation — but with real care, real questions, and real truth.

"Not with blind affirmation." That's just it … these doctors are so eager to be woke and affirm the feelings of children.

Were clinicians determined to push their version of treatment on you and oblivious to any other path, or were you simply lumped in with the cohort determined to go through with it no matter what? Heinous either way, seems like wilful neglect. All best wishes for your new chapter

Truly, no other option was ever presented to me. Transition was offered like a golden ticket out of suffering — clean, fast, and “affirming.”
And I was desperate enough to believe it.
With a bit of effort, you can get through the whole process shockingly quickly.…

Did nobody tell you "it's okay if you're gay"? Or did that statement get swatted away as transphobia? What ARE the right words to say, questions to ask that might pierce the cult? So far, I haven't found a question that doesn't get you labeled "Nazi".

They told me I’d be a beautiful girl and that transition would fix everything.
It didn’t. It made things worse.

They did no exploration of the underlying sources of his transgender ideation.
This is the monstrous scandal that US Democrats call "gender-affirming care." These affirmative practices have migrated from the US to become the global standard, or rather, the global absence of any standard.
When they wear t-shirts with knives reading "Protect Trans Kids," they mean "inflict the ultimate sexual violence on them after brainwashing them to yearn for it and threatening suicide if they don't get it," and "do violence to anyone that would stop it."
